Another success story is emerging from Duori Tangkuri in the Jirapa Municipality, where a group of women is turning skills gained through soap-making training into a promising income-generating activity.
A few weeks ago, the women received training in liquid soap production and were provided with the necessary chemicals to begin production. Demonstrating initiative, teamwork, and a strong commitment to improving their livelihoods, the women have taken the next step by mobilising themselves to produce liquid soap independently for sale.
Their collective effort reflects the power of practical skills training in empowering women to take charge of their economic opportunities. Rather than waiting for further assistance, they have come together to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice and explore ways to generate income for themselves.
This initiative is an encouraging example of how skills development, access to production materials, and community collaboration can support local enterprise and promote economic empowerment among women.
The women of Duori Tangkuri are demonstrating that with the right skills, resources, and determination, training can become a stepping stone towards entrepreneurship and improved livelihoods.
